Software Development

My main focus is on developing web based applications like content management systems, enterprise resource management systems, intranets.

My preferred languages are currently Clojure(script) and Babashka, because it covers both the front- and back-end. I used different React or Web-Component wrappers on the front-end, and a plethora of libraries on the back-end.

I have extensive experience with Groovy (I have contributed to the language and have a Gold Star on SO). and Vaadin ( I am a Certified Vaadin Developer (7,8,14,24) and Certified Vaadin Professional (8,14))

And the languages I try to get better in, are Haskell and Scala.

I wrote production software using:

System Administration

I have more than three decades of experience working, developing on, and administrating free Unix-like systems such as Linux, OpenBSD, and FreeBSD. This is what I live and breath.

Developing software is one thing. Deploying it on the internet to a global audience is something else. Therefor I know my way around in all the parts that make the internet going. May it be securing servers, setting up networks, store millions of data sets in e.g. Postgres using replication, or providing fast delivery of your site by Varnish, Nginx, Lighttpd, or plain old Apache. I have strong knowledge on Podman, Docker and Docker-Compose, and basic knowledge with Kubernetes.
